Unexpected Vintage Finds! Thanks Budapest!

I’m seriously just a traveling gnome these days with very little time to share everything!

If you follow me on IG (@chasingdom) or Snapchat (chasing_dom), then you would have the super inside scoop on each place that I visited already. But I’ll still let my readers in, of course πŸ™‚ So Budapest was a curious little city and I wasn’t expecting to run into such good shopping. Specifically, Retrock Budapest. It was hands down one of the best vintage shops that I’ve seen thus far. When I first stepped in and saw that grand staircase and racks on racks on racks, I thought, “Mama’s home”. I didn’t even know where to start. But not in a, holy crap I’m already exhausted forever 21-esque kind of way. More like, I have so many options! I started downstairs but because they also have incredible designer threads, I realized prettyyyy fast that I needed to move along. I found the sale section though! Upstairs they have some more affordable women’s wear and down stairs in another section that I discovered later, they also have affordable menswear like dope t-shirts, jackets, hats, etc.

Ok let’s get back on track. So I’m upstairs putting my little grubby hands through all of the vintage and I saw some reeeally good stuff guys.

Β I have been searching for these. The real deal though! They had the original crusty little jeans tag on them and all. And it was just the right size! Well they were a weee bit tight but that was a post-dinner try on. You know how that goes.

I also found 2 dope band t-shirts which I was extra lit about because it’s hard to find truly vintage band t-shirts. Not like the basic Nirvana one that they sell anywhere from Primark to Forever 21. I’m really picking on F21 a lot today but as some of you know I’m super fond of it. But hey, the truth is the truth. So the first band gem that I plucked out was one from Metallica’s 2004 European tour. It was delicately splashed with bleach stains and all. Ah, other people’s mistakes.Β Β

AND even better (in my opinion) I slithered into the menswear section and found zis!

Its unique, it’s soft and it highlights lyrics from their song “Dumb”. The one no one thinks about because they’re busy smelling the teen spirit.

Oh and in case you were wondering, Budapest itself was phenomenal. The breathtaking views alone would bring me back. It was such a wonderful place for self-reflection…that’s in my next post πŸ™‚

Let me know if you love it! & check out Restock’s websiteΒ HERE!

Lotts of Love,
